I planted this brug (noid) on the coast at our other house. I have about 30 others here and they are not doing half as well. Although that on is in the ground and the others are in pots, that is probably the difference. I counted 67 open blooms on this one. Makes me want to plant them all in the ground
Seems to be happy...
If you live in zone 8b or higher, I don't know why you would have them in pots. I live in zone 8 and keep almost all mine in the ground, then again I did loose a bunch last Winter, but that was an extremely cold Winter. I try to keep cuttings as backups.
I just got most all of them last fall and kept them in the GH as cuttings so they would grow. Then found out a couple of months ago we will be moving so I did not want to plant them in the ground. I had some planted in the ground that were BEEEUUUTIFUL last year, but with that COLD winter we had, only one has come back. BOOHOO.
Once we get to our new place, I probably will plant them in the ground and just take cuttings like you do, 'just in case".
