RE: Minis and semi minis

MSU, MS(Zone 8a)

I am interested in growing more minis and I am wondering which minis are the more prolific and have the largest flowers. Which ones do you grow?

Pat,
I don't have a whole lot of minis yet,but I know many of Rob's are very prolific bloomers. Also,Orchard's Bumble Magnet never stops blooming for me.
If you go to sites like Rob's or Travis Violets, there are comments about some being exceptional bloomers. Also,if you look on the AVSA site or read their magazine, that tells you which ones are consistently winners.

There are others here who grow a large number of them,so I'm sure someone can help with that question.

The 2 thatI recently posted are still blooming like crazy. Lets see if I can find them....
This was taken 6/15--and if anything, has more blooms right now.

Same with this one. I've started plants from this one--they are all heavy, frequent bloomers. Gotta keep up with the sucker patrol though. Pic taken 5/20--and it is still covered with blooms.

I've had this mini-trailer for several years--started many plants from it--blooms constantly.

The Optimara Little Jewels are usually good bloomers.

I like the Jolly's too--Hi Nicole! ^_^

Those are all so pretty! I really like that Jolly Gremlin though.. I have Rob's Tookarooka and Orchard Bumble Magnet although that has not bloomed for me yet. I also have Hot Pink Bells and I am waiting for that one to bloom. The miniatures seem to bloom better for me than the standards. I don't know why.

Great pictures Jan.It looks like all of those are good bloomers.
Pat,
When Bumble Magnet starts blooming it rarely stops. It has little "bouquets" of blooms.

Hello Everyone, Oh, what beautiful blooms and good photography to present them. I love the miniatures too but am just getting started with them. Carousel Waltz is very pretty from Lyons GH. It has double magenta blooms - they look like miniature roses. And Rob's Toorooka is blooming like crazy too - it has violet double rose like blooms also. I can see how popular the miniatures are to people with limited space.

I love them too,but they do tend to sucker more than standards.Welcome to the group ^_^.
