Can anyone id this disease on the ginger plant? We don't know what it is or how to get rid of it. It appears on most of the plants, but not all. Growing location: Kaneohe Hawaii

Maybe water stress. Do the plants have to go through periods of being very dry?
actually it's been rather wet in Kanoehe the past few weeks...we have passing showers (sometimes heavy) every day througout the day and night for several weeks. The ground doesn't have time to dry out.
