Hard to tell...its either an Eastern Wood Pewee or one of the Empidonax Flycatcher's. Was there a wooded area nearby? That's where I always hear the Pewee's.
there is some wooded area on the property, but this was in the mostly grassy area. Once in a while there are clumps of trees, there was one nearby in this photo. And to the right is a wet area with sedge.

ah yah. nice long tail and all. I bet that's it, ned.
I thought about Mockingbird also but thought I would see a more brighter eye.
I'll check more pix, burd but clearly this picture was beyond the reach of my lens, so didn't capture details as much.
