Autumn is here! High temperature is supposed to be in 50's. Millipede invasion seems to be slowing. Last week there was an article in the Lincoln paper about millipedes in peoples houses. The writer of the article interviewed the entomologist at the Extension office (the woman I called). The entomologist was quoted in the paper "one woman called her and told her that a milipede crawled into a smoke alarm and set it off". So I was quoted in the Lincoln paper (well sort of). Thankfully, she didn't use my name.

Dh hauled the last of dd's show steers to the butcher this a.m. My brother is buying a half and a woman who works with dd is buying the other half. We actually had more buyers this year for our beef than we had beef to sell. A friend of my brother in Denver even wanted to buy some of her beef. Thankfully, dh isn't as much of a baby as I am and is able to take those tame steers to the butcher. Dh said the steer kicked him as he got off the trailer (the first time he has ever kicked any of us.) Okay - I have to stop thinking of this or I will start crying.

Dh finally got the hay out of the field last night.

Well I'd better go - have an appointment at noon and still have office work to get done before that. You all have a great day!
