Roundup around the bales

Dear wife asked me a question last night about spraying round up(herbicide) around the base of the bales. Has anyone done this?

It shouldn't affect the bales, HOWEVER make sure there is NO breeze so that the spray doesn't drift onto your plants in the bales.

Roundup is absorbed by the leaves and taken down to the roots which burns them killing the plant.
