Cat Flu

Hagerstown, MD(Zone 6b)

Has anyone ever had an experience with Cat Flu? We have a bad outbreak here and it is stressing me but I can't let these little ones fend for themselves.

It started with a rescued stray male my son wanted. I did a lot of reading on the internet to find information. My sons kitten is much better now and should be able to get his shots from the vet soon. They didn't want to do anything until he was better.

The problem is with the stray cats and thier kittens outside. It was to hard to stay away from all the little kiddies and I must have passed it on to them while playing with them. I noticed 1 little one with nasty eyes and snotty nose. We have been cleaning her eyes and nose a few times a day. She got to the point that she was breathing through her mouth since the snot had hardened and blocked her nose. We started saline drops this evening. Tonight I noticed another kitten was getting very bad and 2 others are getting yucky eyes.

From what I have read it runs a course of 7-14 days. If there is anyone who has experience with Cat Flu I would love any personal expereinces of information that would help. I just can't help feeling so responsible for making all these kiddies so sick and its exhualsting taking care of the.
