Can anyone identify this bird. It sits beside the road near a friends house every day.

I thought buzzard too but I have never seen one with that fancy feather do!
It is a juvenile Black Vulture.

looking at it again, i think Ken is right. the lighter feathers have that pinkish color of the chicks. :)
