I got bored today and remembered that I have 4 different types of Passion Vines to plant and nowhere to plant them. I also remembered that I had some top soil, some wood, screws and nails and my new sliding miter saw I havnt gotten to use. Well, got to thinking, (and building) and this is what I came up with. What do yall think? I already had the bird house and didnt have it hanging anywhere so that idea hit me when I was done building it! :) All in all, its about 7 feet high.
So I built a vine trellis today.......
That is cool. I like what you did with the feeder.
Very impressive, those are going to be some happy vines and birds.
Dang! Feel free to drop by my house next time you're bored...
HAHAHA Thanks yall. I think because of its size, Im going to try to do 8 different vines on it and just let them go crazy. I have 5 different types of Passifloras, a Mexican Flame vine, Double Blue Pea vine and a Bleeding Heart Vine. 2 vines on each flat side.
Pretty cool, great for green beans in the spring too.

Now, THAT is not a bad Idea, maybe some green beans and squash! :) Thanks for the idea!
Wow! Those compound miters at the top are great..
Thank you VORTREKER, that was actually the hardest part. LOL I ripped a 2x4 down to a 1 ft long piece that was 1 1/2 x 1 1/2. That is what I used to connect all the feet at the top.
I love it!
Great looking obelisk!! The vines will love it, but the squirrels will love the path to the feeder even more. It wouldn't work at my house to have the feeder so available. Wonderful job on the build.
Cool!! Ya can grow cukes, beans, vining squash, luffa gourds, and even twining tomatoes...lol...
Very impressive. The vines are going to love it -- and the Gulf Fritillaries are going to love the vines. :-)
