I have some gingers planted in huge pots/buckets and they never bloom.
Should I plant them in the ground?

Depending on what kind of gingers you have..then we can help you. Some want sun all day..some want morning sun and shade the rest of the day..some are shade..and burn in the sun...
One is a shampoo ginger. Don't know what the other is.

YOu can definitely plant the shampoo ginger in the ground in 8B. Its deciduous, goes dormant every season and comes back. Mine are sending up the new inflos now.
