these r common...i know...but holly cow and a half...in 12 weeks in this climate i cannot believe how HUGE they are. usually they would get this large for me....but that was by oct!! LOL

i had them stored in peat moss buckets...and then planted them in mid may i think it was....

Yep, 9b's usually have no problem. Some of mine never go dormant at all, they just stop sending new growth during the cold months. An occassional frost can burn the leaves. I have the purple stemmed growing in my koi pond in just rocks, no soil or anything. They stay alive all year long, as do several others that are a bit protected.

wow....i thought i would NEVER say this...but i'm so glad it's a laundry day so i can play on the puter between loads and starching and ironing sheets...

mary...that's good news since i just ask the hoa about putting up a small greenhouse tent in the backyard for the winter months out of worry...they said yes, but now i may not need it.

my husband just confirmed he has seen many a toad...not so many "frogs" as the lovely little guy up above. actually, we have only seen 1 of him.
