Hi everyone,
Thanks for the warm welcome.
I love having a Texas gardening group on the web.
I grew up in Dallas and have gardened here--on and off- most of my life.
Always learning!
I'm into waterwise plants, butterfly gardens, growing veggies (am learning), conquering nutgrass and the other challenges here!
I love daffodils, roses, day lilies, irises and wildflowers, to name a few interests.
This morning i found some milkweed beetles on a milkweed and am wondering if they damage the plant. I gotta say one thing for them--they don't to be scared of humans!

Hi Greenlily...is this the beetle? I haven't had them....yet.

My main pest on milkweed is aphids, but we had a great crop of Ladybugs that seems to have taken care of them. The cucumber beetle isn't on MW but has caused big problems elsewhere.

I think that's the cucumber beetle that loves some of my roses. Here's the milkweed one. It's longer, thinner--but I could be wrong!
Thank you for looking one up.

Not sure what that one is. Have you seen the Bugfiles section of Dave's yet? There is an identification thread there. If you post your picture, they will id it quickly I am sure.

Wrong the identification thread is a forum all it's own. Here is the link.
