I have a lawn with many dips, groves and indentations. Can someone please tall me how to level it off so that we're not twisting our ankles when we walk across it. Thanks.
Leveling Lawn
Can you just fill it in with sand?
This is a grass lawn in West Virginia, I don't think that putting sand in it is a good idea.
I had the same problem and bought a dozen 40# bags of topsoil at Lowe's at $1.26 @. That filled in the depressions and gave me a good base for starting new grass. I've been mowing that new grass for several weeks now.
Looks great.
You might want to dislodge as many rocks as possible before putting out your dirt. If you have an old bed spring and a way to pull it around the yard, that would help. A poor man's harrow.
