Here are some hibiscus blooms from today. This is Hibiscus "Creme De La Creme"
South Florida Hibiscus Blooms
all so pretty!
Hi John,
All look great, that is the way I have seen Irish eyes posted before, it looks great. Just last week received Creme de la Creme, so hopefully it will get large enough to bloom before the end of the season. Any new seedlings growing?
Patrick
Thanks Patrick. How did you get "Creme De la Creme"??? Do tell. Hope to see a full double "Irish Eyes" someday. That would be nice. Did get a semi double "Neon Nova" today. First time I've seen that happen in the 3 years I've had it. There are 3 seedlings growing right now. 2 of the 3 should bloom this summer.....I would think.
Misbehavin' just pops off the screen! Love it! Love them all...
So both you and Patrick have the elusive Creme de la Creme. How nice for you both. What's your story Jon since you asked Patrick for his?
Thanks Dee. I purchased mine from Hidden Valley Hibiscus in 2008.
one of the 5 available? you must have been born under a lucky star :-)
Yes, one of the five available in 2008. Just happened to be on the website when it was available. You know how fast certain ones sell out. They're never in stock for a day. I know two of the others are now in hibiscus heaven. One of the other ones was only a couple of miles away from where I live.
I don't know which I love better!
Hi John,
I received it last week from Hidden Valley, I contacted Charlie last year and he said that some would be available this year, so I noticed on his forum that he told everyone that he had some small ones ready but Cindy wasn't going to list them in the store because they would be sold out in no time and the people on the waiting list wouldn't even have a chance. So he said if we are on the waiting list to contact Cindy by email and she would send us a invoice, but the catch was you had to be on the waiting list which we already were, so we lucked out.
Patrick
All are gorgeous, Jon. Can't pick a favorite as all are so lovely. Thanks for sharing with us.
Hugs,
Judy
I love La Creme de La Creme!
Thanks. Wow, lucky you Patrick. Take good care of that "Creme De La Creme" baby. Last year I grafted a second one from the original one. Thought it would be a good idea to have a back up plant in case something happens to one of them.
