looking for Ivy

montgomery, AL(Zone 7b)

Does anyone have some Ivy plants that will live through the winter in Florida (zone 8)? I would like a little to put in a LARGE pots. I will have to pay for the postage as I don't have anything for a trade.
Thanks,

I have some english ivy...gobs of it, in fact. We have a wooded area and the ivy is mixed with clumps of grasses, nandina and other assorted goodies. Our ivy is not variegated. It is nearly solid green. I'm zone 8, too, so you should be ok with it, if you want it. I can see about providing you with a picture if you need more than my words to visualize it. :)

Hi smiln33,
No picture needed.. ;o) I wouldn't mind seeing pictures of your flowers though.. I love pictures..
I just want it to trail down some whisky barrels I have..
Send me a e-mail so I know where to send the postage. We aren't too far from U.. just 2 miles to the Alabama line.. We are in the Florida Panhandle.. the Bonifay area.
Thanks loads,

Aaahhh, we were in Gulf Shores in August. Nearly made it to the FL border, myself. :) What a treat it is to live so close to the gulf. We had a wonderful time. Nearly made it out in a raft in time to swim with the dolphins, but the wind took us in another direction and we couldn't compensate enough for it.

I'll email you with my address.

Hi Sugar,
I lived in Coconut Grove(Miami) for years and even wandering jew lived wild and thrived there outdoors..I have old english ivy that thrives here in Mi. and could send you cuttings of wmdering jews. I just don't know how far south you are, and if the jew would survive outside

I have a verigated Pothos that thrives outdoors here in Texas, but I bring it in for the winter. In Florida, I think it will do just fine outside all year. If interested, click on my name and email me.
