Space Oddity is fantastic. They all look so pretty & healthy. Did you lose any last winter?
Thanks for sharing with us. Has anyone heard from Wilfred?

Hugs,
Judy

Thank you. No I didn't have damage to any of the hibiscus last winter. We had 2 or 3 mornings with frost, but I moved all of the potted plants into the house. The ones in the ground were soaked with water prior to the frost nights and had no damage also.

It does not appear that Wilfred has made any posts on Daves Garden since May.

I really like your toucan tango. What cross produced that seedling?

Ft Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10a)

Thanks. I can't remember the cross. It was the first seed that took and grew and I forgot what it was by the time it bloomed 12-18 months later.

Judy and everyone,

Wilfred stopped by the Adenium forum in the Other Place to say hi, about a week ago. He had to get a new computer, is very busy, and might have a new girlfriend.

How cool Jon! I have a few seedlings that I am waiting on to bloom. So far they have very stout and upright bushes, so I will be interested to see what the blooms look like, they are a bit over a foot tall, so they have a bit of growing to do until they bloom.

Jon, do you know anything about Space Oddity? LIke where you got it & who the parent plants were? The cuttings you sent me of it have rooted.....yeah!!!! Still very small but alive!!!! Thanks so much. Sending you a dmail

Glad to hear Wilfred is okay. Ain't love grand??? Several of the plants he sent me have done real well & I wanted to let him know about it. Thanks for keeping us posted on his where-abouts.

Space Oddity was created by and came from Hidden Valley Hibiscus. It's a cross of "Rainbow Christie" and "Fifth Dimension". Glad the cuttings took for you Judy. That's great.

Oh, dear, Wilfred was fired from his job on July 11, his birthday. He's really depressed. I don't know what else to say.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sorry to hear about Wilfred's problems. Does anyone know how to contact him?

Hugs,
Judy

Wilfred recieves "Snail Mail", US Postal Service. I'll have his address for you tomorrow if you wish, D-mail me.

Cheers,

Melissa
