Know it's been a while, but lots of new things going on!!!
As some of you know, kept all of the babies & two years later---still have them all!
Added a new one last year that showed up as a stray at the shop---'Fancy' & she has managed to fit right in with the other 11 cats!
NOW----have a new baby that I just got yesterday!
My friend & neighbor takes care of all of my babies for me during the week while I work & the only thing I have to pay her is a bottle of wine a week. Well---stopped in to the local ABC store yesterday afternoon to get her wine & the store clerks were standing outside with a baby kitten. Said they were looking for a good home for her as neither one could keep her---guess you know the rest!!! Called hubby, said "Bring her home & we'll find a good home for her!" She isn't going anywhere!!!!
The girls had already named her 'Spirit' & because of where I got her, decided to keep the name. (ABC Wine & Spirit) Poor thing was starved & scared to death! Guess she had gotten dumped off there, don't know when & got lucky to have been found by the girls! Right off of Blanding Blvd., & such a busy highway that she was lucky to be alive!!!!
During my inspection of her, found out that she is a 'Mitten Cat'---meaning she has 6 or more toes on her feet. In her case---all four!!!! One foot has 7 toes, as far as we can see & the others have at least 6.
Have to get her to the vet on Tuesday when they open back up from the holiday, but she seems to be doing real well on the kitten food & formula.
Hate the phrase "Hoarding" & know a lot of you out there probably think that's what we are doing, but just can't seem to pass up a baby in need!!! As much as we both want to help all of the animals that are getting 'Dumped" lately, we can't take any more in.
Wish we had the money & the property to start an animal rescue mission, but unfortunately, have neither!!!
