First Bloom on New Hibiscus!

West Palm Beach, FL

Hey all.

Thanks to those who helped with my thread "Problem with Tropical Hibiscus". This beauty opened for me this morning. I bought a total of 3 hibiscus from a nursery in central Florida: "Tahitian Princess", "City Slicker", and "Climax". Though this one was labeled as "Climax", I believe this is actually "City Slicker", and the labels must've gotten mixed. I seem to have controlled the thrips infestation, and all 3 are reporting new growth. I will post as the others produce viable blooms! Sorry for the camera-phone quality of the pictures.

beautiful, have we decided on which one it is? City Slicker or Climax. I thought climax was supposed to be bright orange and yellow?

Nice "City Slicker" bloom Grantman. If you like the blooms now, just wait until you get some blooms this coming winter on a cool South Florida day with temperatures below 70. The colors will be extremely vivid and bright.

Amorecuore is correct - it is City Slicker. The tags were right; I was the one who was mixed up lol! I'm looking forward to blooms year-round, and from the other 2!
