peppermint twist phlox

Marlborough, MA(Zone 5b)

My wife (Marilyn) has planted a memorial garden for a little girl (Erin) who was one of her clients.
Erin was born with a brain tumor and was a joy to everyone who meet her. She past away just after her fourth birthday.
Marilyn has planted the garden in shades of pink. She has pink roses and several other plants that are pink.
But to my question. She planted 2 peppermint twist phlox and they are so pretty. Do you pinch back or dead head these plants?
And if you do will they rebloom?

Awwwww
Here's info for ya...

Snip off spent flower clusters; flowering side branches develop; deadhead to the
ground when it’s finished blooming; seedlings will revert to less desirable colors

Will not rebloom.

I use this guide all the time

Jen, I could not open that link. It looks like a very helpful document. Has anyone else gotten an error message for it? Thanks! Louise

It came through here.

What a lovely gesture for your wife to make! I'm sure the garden is a solace.

This time it came through fine! Dogwalker - I like your wife's idea and the peppermint twist is a lovely choice for a sweet memorial.

What a luvly memorial dogwalker! Many of hybrid phlox are sterile and don't seed at all unfortunately. Thanks flowerjen for the link.
