I love it!
First bloom
You should be proud of her, she is beautiful! Fragrant?
The other day I saw some Hoya australis ssp rupicola that was starting to get curly leaves like those, but not variegated. Which species is that one?
I believe that one is H. carnosa "Krinkle Curl".
It is a very slow grower, but I love it.
You DO have the variegated one! Absolutely gorgeous!!! Now you are making me drool more. Is it Monday yet (wink)? Hope your new babies are doing great for you :)
Connie
Hi Connie,
Yes my babies are doing fine, except one. I thought you knew I had the varg one. I am going to send you a piece, don't you worry. If I ever see the plant again, I will buy you the whole plant, but its hard to find the varg. one. If I ever get back home long enough to stay, I am going to send you a box of goodies. How is that grandbaby??
Ahhhhh....Let me know which one. Mouse ears are growing and once I get these leaves finished, I will be sticking more. (Don't want too many down at one time) We are going to see that precious angel this weekend YAY!!!!! She is growing too fast LOL!!
Love the pink in it..Is your Hoya grown outside.....
It summers outside and the rest of the time it lives in my greenhouse. I was not expecting it to bloom since it is kinda short.
Aw.. The bloom is adorable..
Great looking plant and bloom. I have the plain variety-H. compacta. It blooms late in the summer for me. And only one peduncle. I wish it would bloom more. This is a picture take last year. I had a small cutting of the variegated one, but it died this past winter (it froze). I'm looking for another but they are hard to find locally. I just hate to pay postage and get a tiny cutting.LOL
I know. If mine doesn't bloom anymore, I may take a few cuttings and I will put your name on the list. But right now, it only has the one main vine. It just does not grow well/fast.
Joni at SRQ Hoyas is selling "full pots" of the variegated compacta for $16.00...
