Here's a pic of a few of my roses blooming.
Roses in the herb garden
How lovely!!! No roses blooming in my yard right now. I only have Rosa banksea and they bloomed early in spring.
Thanks for sharing!

Ooohh, i just want to stand in the middle of your garden and breathe. I can imagine the heady scent of those roses mixing with your herbs...
My MIL grows beautiful hybrid tea roses! A few years ago (with some encouragement from me I think) she planted rosemary across the back of her rose garden and edged the front with lavender. I put some creeping thyme between the stepping stones and coral bells that run across the oval-shaped garden but most of it is mulched.
OMGosh - that's almost too pretty to be real!!!
No hybrid teas for me, they just take too much coddling and are only marginally hardy here. In the foreground, the dark pink rose is a Canadian Explorer, John Cabot, the peachy-yellow on the birdhouse is Alchymyst, the next is Grootendorst and the one on the arbor is Paul's Himalayan Musk. It was a good rose year! Here's a close up of Alchymyst.
Very nice... I was searching back thru vintage threads for something else and found one you had posted where you and your husband were planting roses and placing trellises or arbors if I recall correctly. Nice to see the before and after and I will agree, I am sure it smells wonderful.

Absolutely stunning!
Podster, that's another part of the garden. I need to go take some pics!
Yes, I'd love to see them. I believe that thread was posted in 2007. I am sure it has developed. I really love the way you blend your herbs with flowers. Very nice.
