Devils Claw

McMinnville, TN

This is the only color I have ever seen here in McMinnville, TN and I baby my plants every year (they come up on their own) so they won't get damaged by the wind. I have seen a white 1 that a guy had on ebay that lived in California.

mine were white, i got the seeds from native seeds in tucson. they were a lot of work to keep alive here.

they only had one variety when i ordered, so i'm not sure which mine were. probably the one on the bottom because they had huge claws.

Yes, you really half to pamper them, I check mine daily to make sure them big fat green worms don't get on them; they are hard to find and they love eating devils claw plants. When the claws dry, I carefully open them to get the seeds out, I glue the claws back together, put rubber bands around them to hold them together and they make great additions to a wreath.
