Does anyone know of any nurseries close to the Palestine/Jacksonville/Tyler area that sells this? anywhere past tyler(such as longview/kilgore/) is too far. I live south of palestine. thanks!
Where to find Blue Satin Rose of Sharon in East Texas
I don't know if you've seen one of these growing or not, but I bought a mail order one a while back. The blooms weren't blue, more of a lavender to purple color. It wasn't at all what I expected and didn't hold up well in Houston.

I was told this one's a "blue"... it does have a very slight blue tinge to it....but more of a lavender, I guess......it's only after the bloom starts to decline and folds up....that it really turns a true blue

thanks for sharing that! it is so pretty! I bought one of the more common purple/lavender rose of sharons today. it was all the nursery in palestine had. my grandmother had one and so this one will remind me of her. I think I still want a blue one though. and maybe a pink.
