Incubator success!

Williamsburg, MI(Zone 4b)

After three years of mostly unsuccessful incubator adventures, I did it! I got 10 baby ducks out of 14 eggs. inally, I can do what a bird with a brain the size of a peanut can do. I feel better.

And ducks aren't easy....

Williamsburg, MI(Zone 4b)

Why aren't ducks easy ? I know part of my problem is not having a good thermometer. They were a couple days late and a few of the ducklings seem to be mentaly "challanged". (of course their gene pool was pretty shallow)

Congratulations JYL: WOW, that is so cool, I also hatched some ducks for the first time a week ago. I never wanted ducks but the lady insisted I hatch these and I only got four out of a doz, but they were really cute...I found them a home immed.

Congrats JYL... If you get a minute check out my story about my latest hatch, my baby peacock... Not a successful hatch as some might call it, but got one and now Latigo is safely in the baby tank for Peacock TV... LOLOL Cant wait till Billy comes home to see it...

PS my ducks are sitting on more eggs again, just got rid of the last 20 or so..
