There is also "eggbid.net" which is totally different and has a somewhat less sterling reputation. I am not sure why...possibly because it specialises in game birds.
Then there is "ovabid.com" as well as BYC.
I also heard it was shut down. I could never get them to answer my requests for a new password! Anyway, how is ovabid.com's reputation?
I think ovabid is okay. Just not as big as eggbid and eBay.
There were always "personality problems" with the guys running eggbid. The concept was great and for the most part the people offering eggs were reputable. But the owners had severe "people skill" deficiencies; in short they were often very cranky and uncooperative and I suspect the site got away from them.
