i thought i was growing a big brugmansia but now this tall stalk-(red at bottom of stalk) has blooms that look ready to open--the blooms look a little like lilac or butterfly bush--but it is all off of one stalk that has opened into a y
it is about 5 feet tall--
what's this plant??

yes! that's it alright---i like it a lot but from what i read a lot of people love it and a lot hate it! i guess it is hard to get rid of and gets the birds drunk (which sounds interesting!)
well i sure can't get rid of it--i have been watering it daily and thinking it was a brug that i should take special care of!

I think it is a beautiful plant, I even have some in pots.
I have them popping up all over here at my place..my grandma called them..poormans greens if ya know how to cook it..
it is funny how some plants are called weeds but are beautiful
some are considered invasive and i can't even get them to grow!
Birds do the work here..lol..mine are chickens..
