Brug from Donna on 2008

Virginia Beach, VA

i was just lurking and Donna posted that she is giving away cuttings of white giant brug and took a chance if I can get one. I labeled it Donn's giant white brug. it was no longer than 3 inches but it made it. This year I planted it in a bigger pot and has now lots of blooms. If you happen to see this thread Donna i want to thank you again. Belle

Wow! I was wondering if I could grow mine in a pot or if it needed to be in the ground for root room. Guess pot (10") will be ok.?

I bought 8 few brugs in a coop last year and they are all potted.I can not take a chance of losing them since they are not cheap.Belle

So ya think a 10" square pot is good?
I'm such a novice and do not want to lose this one that I have.
Question: When rooting a cutting...after the white nubbies and when the roots begin..is that the time to pot up? Also What type of pot size progression is used?

Thanks,
Sheri

I am not brug expert but had rooted brugs several time and it is very easy. After the roots appear I would wait till the roots are at least 3-5 inches then I would pot. Again I am not an expert. i think a 10 inch square pot is sufficient. I also use good potting soil and had amended with some hardwood mulch. this is what i do and so far all my potted brugs are doing great.

Here are the pictures of my other potted brugs
