My peahen has 3 babies!! They hatched few days ago...

I have been breeding peafowl for 26 years and have never had a peahen hatch out her own chicks. OK what does the cock look like, I forgot what I brought you? These chicks are either White or Black Shoulder. The hen is a Purple Pied and Pieds carry the white gene. This is going to be fun.
Here is a pic of the daddy..he hasnt bother them..Can I use a chicken waterer for the babies to drink out of? right now there is a water bucket for the parents...fixing to clean one up and put it in there..she sat where the feed was and the babies ate some feed..just not sure about the water dept
Lord I am getting so forgetful I could hide my own Easter eggs. The cock I brought you is a Silver Pied with some Java blood in him. He has a 50% chance of being split to Purple. So your chicks could be White or they could be Pieds and they could Be black Shoulder, if the parent birds are split to BS, who knows. It is going to be interesting to see what they turn out.

Here are some updated pics.. I lost one of the babies the other nite..looks like it laid down and never woke up..
They are looking very white, Pied to Pied = 1/4 White.

Well I don't see them at all in the house as of this morning..don't know if something got them..can't tell..as I went to open the doors to the henhouse..been raining too much for the last few days...and not sure where they are...
Found them!!! They were high and dry inside the doghouse that is inside the peacock house..lol..here are some updated pics..just took them few mins ago..

What a beautiful Peacock!!! I never seen one that color. Actually I never seen a real one, that would be a real treat to see how it open up its tail!
they are good to get themselves in trouble sneakin out the wire like that, mama cant protect them out there, however, mama may have sent them out to play on their own anyway, chuckle. they are gorgeous.

Is that the only color you have? I would like to see one in the jewel tones too. For a long time I thought Peacocks were just a fable ... would you believe that?

Well the babies are jumping up to the top part of the doghouse to sit with momma and daddy now..They get under their momma at nite time now..hoping to take a pic of all 4 of them sitting together..

Well they are not here.. Out in the woods somewhere..I did see them walking around in the ground out back..but they fly up in the trees..when I was throwing feed for the chickens..I am hoping to take a pic of them..too far for me to really see how big they are..since they will fly ..
