I can't stand GW because of the pop up ads! Thanks DG for giving me peace of mind.

GW isn't a fun place to be with all those annoying pop ups!!! lol..my son told me to make sure nothing munches on that tree..I thought??? well ya better get down here from Maryland and guard it..lol..

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

Is there anything that munches on them? Isn't that the problem?

I've got one I'm killing by girdling, but it still leafed out a few branches this year. I've been taking the tent caterpillars and such off of the other (desirable) plants and wedging them around the tallow tree leaves. The little buggers just take off running! I haven't gotten anything yet to even try munching on it.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Pull it up, spray it with Roundup, 2-4-D, whatever it takes, kill that tree. It is a forest weed.

I am not killing Jon's tree..lol..he can deal with it..lol..

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

I have some variegated in my backyard but hey have snail trails over the leaves.

Well the little tree is still alive and growing..hoping my watermelon vines don't choke it first..lol..

Dallas, TX

I have something out front that look like that. I thought it was a Catalpa.
Kenboy what wrong with the tree?

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

chuckl, looks like sign of a root damaj, not a variegated, and the new leaves are solid, yup tallow trees, sweetgums, nasty, nasty trashy weeds.
