Rubilene X Peanut from B Delph

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Winter before last I ordered some cross seeds from Brenda, and then I had a couple seedlings, which I then adopted out.. here is Rubilene x Peanut.. it is a smaller flower yellow in colour I wish she could see it.

not a double, and her blooms get larger with each flush, but still smaller than what I am used to. I can't find Rubilene anywhere to compare her with.

Debra,
I couldn't find a photo of Rubiline, either because it seems that Rubiline is not a single cultivar, but consists of a group of Brugs that came from the same seedpod. The cross was Ecuador Pink x Rothkirch. The members of this group are pink candida type Brugs. In this link, Monika Gottschalk explains how this came to be. That is why sometimes you see numbers after the word Rubiline. (Note the spelling)

Take a look at some of the photos by Donna B. Those would be photos of at least one member of the Rubiline group. I wonder what has happened to those Brugs?

I found a photo of the same cross, but possibly a different seed pod

Dorthea is the result of a cross between 2 different Rubiline seedlings

The photos posted by Donna B, patricia and JT should give you an idea of what some of the group member could look like and the potential they pass on to their offspring.

Victoria... well..
I had some of them in answer to where these are now.. and I likely have sent out cuttings of them in the fall.. I'll look through what I have planted for this year.. and make my 2010 growing list.and drawing of where it might be planted. it wouldn't suprise me if some of these from Donna B's plants are still kicking around somewhere in the garden here..
I got by to visit her for a day or two this May.. and escaped with only a bunch of her exotic hen's eggs [ blue, white and Bronze ones ].. and a frozen mess of the best gumbo... I'm seriously overloaded in the brug department at mothers.. my stop after my visit there..to check on Donna
