Hey Nadine .. I love the Raven ... That was one of the first ones I got from him... I couldn't help but get that one ... For some reason the one in the plant files that says Raven is a lot different in foliage coloration. I of course 'Bing' it and 'Google' the "Raven" and the DG file seems to be wrong ... which is possible. lol ...

But I also got that one becz of a cat I had named Raven that was close to me that had passed. It reminded me of his personality ... The plant is perfectly named ... lol

Cool story about the cat and the name of Raven..lol..fixing to go ginger plant shopping tomorrow..mmm..oops..let the cat out of the bag..hahaha

I want to go. I guess I will go Hellebore hunting. I think Maggi and I will be going to Joan's and dig Hellebore seedlings to plant in a raised bed until they get some size on them. You just got to love them, they bloom in January.

Tell me about Hellebores ... Can they handle Zone 8b/9a? humid weather?

I went to Home Depot and they had some gingers ... curcuma alisatifolia - Siam Tulips ... had a buy one get on free thing I got via email from joing their garden club thing ... lol ... I figured since I am now collecting as many types of gingers as possible I'd try them and see how they will do ...

If they can handle Texas heat I am sure they can handle FL. heat. High humidity is better than low. Best grown in shade in our area.

Those are beautiful ... I will have to look into them and see if they sell them here =D I may have to try them ... test them ... lol
