What fruit did I plant?

I can't find the list of fruits I planted 2 years ago, so I have no idea what this one is... I'm brain dead I guess. Any clues?

TIA, darius

Can we get some more pics? Closeup of the leaves as well as one of the stem structure?

Sure... I'll get better pics as soon as it stops raining...

Someone ID'd this as an Elderberry... and now I remember I had ordered and planted an elderberry 2 years ago. I thought it had died. I will have to see if I kept the receipt to know what elderberry I planted.

Thanks, everyone!

I think that they have to cross-polinate to get fruit. But you can make fritters from the flowers from what I have read.

probably do need a pollinator, but I just discovered 2 native elderberries across the creek, now that the power company took down some trees.

My filbert needs a pollinator too... and 'someone' promised me one, probably last summer...

This Elderberry looks very similar to yours.
