Lippia ( Phyla ) Alba information?

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

I have a small start of one of these plants and the more I research, the more confused I am becoming. There is a limited amount of information about the Lippias.

Looking at the PlantFiles, I found this one...

Lippia Alba http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/140103/

and this one...

Phlya nodiflora alba http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/290/

Are these one and the same?
Can anyone clear up the muddy waters?
Offer any hands on knowledge about growing this little sweetie?

Central Valley, CA(Zone 9b)

Wonder if it's almond verbena that you're referring to?

mulege, Mexico

I just got some seeds for lippia dulcis from www.JLHudson.net. It is supposed to be sweet like stevia but more heat tolerant. Hudson is usually very good about answering questions.
