I have gobs of Dicentra spectabilis in my garden, along with a scattering of Dicentra eximia. They all seem happy and do quite well, so that I end up needing to weed lots of baby plants.
Most of the spectabilis have the regular bright pink and white flowers, while several have white flowers ('Alba'). Anyway, last year I found one plant flowering with pale pink flowers that had no white. Unfortunately, I think I weeded it on accident. Oops. After googling, I can't seem to find any mention of this color variety for spectabilis. Has anyone ever had one bloom with that coloration before?
Old-fashioned bleeding heart with pale pink blooms
Are you sure it wasn't just at the end of the flowering period so the blooms were paler in comparison?
I hope it turns up again! I'm a sucker for anything in pale pink.
