Epi last year and now

Windsor, CA(Zone 9b)

This was a gift and I didn't know what it was so posted it on the Cactus and Succulent forum last year. Well I got directed to here and got my questions answered. It does look like h. . . doesn't it?This winter I brought it into the house and watered it very little and kept it cool but not cold and it started growing. Finally today I took it out side and placed it under the olive tree where it will get filtered light and I can water it easily (but I do not know how much to water it). and I didn't know what I was pruning, but i pruned away a few of the soft squishy leaves so it does look better. There is even a flower starting to grow on it. So tell me how it looks, compared to the first picture (see following pic). And how do I care for it? Does it like fertilizer? Should it be higher so the branches hang? thank you for all your information. Xuling

Looks great! Don't get too carried away with the pruning though, as they bloom on mature leaves. Water when the top two inches of soil is dry. That's about once a week for me. I'm in zone 10 (Sunset Western Garden zone 22). If you want more info I recomend "Epis by Pat"...she has a month by month tutorial on her website.
