Cabbage worms on Kale?

Southern Mountains, GA(Zone 6b)

I've been dusting my brassicas with Dipel, found a a few tiny worms trying to make a start on some broccoli. The kale looks perfect, no sign of any insect damage. Are they more or less immune from the same insects that eat brassicas, or am I just lucky with it?

They prefer caulilower, cabbage , broccoli in that order. They prefer kale to mustard, but when that is the last resort , they will eat it.

Thanks Farmer Dill, I've been enjoying the kale and have some of the Black Tuscano kale seedlings planted for fall.

I have some Black Toscano growing in my garden now. I wonder whether I should have waited before planting it...I have some Midori Red as well. They came up kind of spottily; do you find it works better to sow them in pots and then transplant them?

Nothing's eating mine, either.

Yes, I started mine in a flat and transplanted them into paper cups. They are ready to be set out now but the soil is too wet to do any digging.

I will have to try that. I don't like the way my rows have empty spaces!

I transplanted my tomatoes into four-packs and then put them in paper cups with the bottoms removed when I planted them out in the garden. It kept sowbugs and cutworms away completely!
