Bird Bath Tips

Jackson, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi, I have 3 birdbaths. Do you have any tips on:
1. Keeping the water cleaner?
2. Types of tools you use to clean the bath? I am looking for a really stiff bristles on a long handled brush.
3. Do you have a favorite birdbath?
4. Some of birdbaths are too deep. :( I know you can put rocks in the bottom of the birdbath, but then, I have to take the rocks out and scrub them too. I am wondering if there's something larger like a one piece decorative something that would work?
I have heard of putting a piece of copper tubing in the water to keep it cleaner. Also, using some kind of stuff to put in the water to keep algae away which I do. Also using those donuts for mosquitoes which I haven't done, but plant to get some very soon. The mosquitoes are terrible here this year.

Hope you can share your successes with me.
Maybe this is not the forum I should post this on. If not, please direct me to the proper forum. I know this is "Bird Watching" But, I need a little advise.

Hi birder, I wish I had some good tips to tell you but unfortunately I don't. Hopefully someone else will have some advice. I have all shallow bird baths and when I go on 1 or more of the many trips to refill them I take a scrub brush with me. Besides these scrubbing trips they also get thoroughly cleaned and sanitized a few times a week.
