Hi,
When rooting brugs in water, should I use the heating mat?
Thank you very much!
rooting in water
Don't use a heating mat. Heating up the water will reduce the oxygen content of the water. The presence of oxygen is essential when rooting. Some people even use a bubbler to add more oxygen to the water. If you change the water every few days, the cutings should root without a problem at this time of the year.
Thank you very much for your advice, Betty.:o)
Mine root the fastest in water placed in a shady area outside. I take big cuttings and put them in a 5 gal bucket and place in deep shade. Many will be rooted in a few days here. If in the house I put them by a window with indirect sunlight..and yes change the water every few days. No need to use a heatmat.
Thank you very much Angel!:o)
