Mine just opened today and both blooms ar shredded pinks. I know this is not what the next flush will look like though. Phenomental is a beautiful brug.
Ohhhh....now I can't wait for mine to bloom.
Great pic thats for sharing!
Thanks everyone. Now I need to repot and start feeding her if I
want to enjoy more blooms. ;-)
This is one of the brugs. that I have found definitely perfers morning sun afternoon shade.
That is a beautiful bloom! Congrats! now I can see why it is so wanted.

Someone at BFI mentioned that Phanomenal didn't bloom much in hot weather. They are both by Anne Kirchner-Abel and she never releases parent names so you can't tell whether they are related. Color is very similar. According to the last link Phanomenal is a small plant, between 4-1/2' to 6'. in a pot. The blooms are 10" to 12" long. Phanomena is a taller plant with slightly smaller blooms.
I have both cuttings from Eddie so I guess I can expect flowers from one
Thanks for those links Betty. My Phanomenal bloom color looks a lot
like Phanomena. To me anyway. My plant came from the nice lady
at Seed Sprout nursery.. It set lots of buds in the greenhouse this
past winter but she dropped them, one by one. It was a dog fight
down there between me and the bugs, bugs 1 (won) lol, me 0
She did seem to like the cooler temps in the ghouse this winter.
Mine looks so bad with yellow lvs, bad nutrition, that I don't expect any more out of her until I cut it back and start feeding
Thanks Betty I knew you would know!
Brenda is a doll.
It's absolutely lovely!!
