Painted Lady

is there any way to delete a thread started? obviously, there's no interest in this thread.

Hi Lily,
Your Painted Lady looks like it might be something else. How long have you had it? Last July I bought what was called Painted Lady that turned out to be Morning Star. Big difference in the 2 & Morning Star was a much better plant. You can't always go by the tags that are on them. Your bloom looks like Going Steady by Barry Schueter that has been released by the Hines Nursery. Two other possiblities are Prom Girl & Prom Queen.
In any case you have a much better plant. It is very pretty. Thanks for sharing with us.

It's kinda sad that plants are often labeled incorrectly, and I'm glad you told me about the 3 possible cultivars it could be.
I got this at Lowe's last Sunday, so I haven't had it very long.
I'm thinking that out of the 3, it most resembles Prom Girl. Will have to google "Painted Lady." And it's good to know that I got more than my money's worth on this.
