Last for now - Silmakivi through Coppertina.

Good stuff Victor. That PP is so intense I think some shades are needed. Love that coppertina and clem pic.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Lucy, I've seen brown spots here and there on my iris leaves. Not a lot. Are those signs of borers? I've been wanting to just remove any leaves that don't look right. I have seen a few with obvious signs of borers in them. I just remove most of the leaf below that area.

Venu, that rambler rose is beautiful!

Nice poppy pics, JoAnn. I like the third one best.

Yes, Marilyn, the buds blacken and pretty much just rot. Almost every scape (I don't know if that's what they're called on TBI's) gets at least one or more buds that it happens to. Lucy, maybe you know the answer to this?

Victor, the waterlily and Pure Poetry rose are wonderful. Love the euphorbia, too.

Some pics from today. First the old pass a long peony are all opening up and with the warm temps are almost overpowering with their perfume.

Tasha Tudor said it take 12 years to really establish a garden. This is my fifth. Can't wait for the next 7!

Henrii Clem, which is growing over a stone wall intertwined with the Iceberg rose. Easy, carefree and consistent.

Beauties, Abby!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Victor, is that New Dawn arbor the same one that had the hops growing on it a few years back? I neeeeeeeeeeed an arbor. Wonderful. Love that shot of Silmakivi through Coppertina.

abbyday, great collection of shots, especially Henrii Clematis.

I have a herd of new kids to post, but I want to get them labeled first. Here is a long shot. Patti

Yes - good memory, Patti! Wonderful shot - nice perspective.

Victor, I think I heard you swearing all the way from NY to Nantucket when you had to dig it out. I was at that time contimplating hops and was easily convinced by your posts that, though it is pretty and a fast grower, planting it would be a nightmare. I sincerely thank you for the warning. Endless stream area on west side of the house. Patti

Yes, I'm sure you did! I could not believe the size of the root mass I dug out. Surprised I did not get a hernia.

Such a peaceful spot, Patti.

South Hamilton, MA

Been on the ISM iris tour all day. Napped a bit after supper. Re buds turning black--sounds like blasted buds from cold damage. Iris flowers grow on stalks.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)
