CLOSED: EVERYTHING in the front yard must go

Ballston Lake, NY(Zone 5a)

i'm clearing out most of one flower bed and an overgrown front yard to put in a retaining wall and flower beds/landscaping. it has been unattended for 35 years or so, and i don't have any other sun in the yard to put most of the stuff.
just off the top of my head i have:

creeping phlox:pinkish, also fuschia
perennial garden phlox:pink
wintercreeper:green
wintercreeper:"emerald and gold"
hardy geranium:fuschia
lily of the valley
wintercreeper:blondy
wild blackberries
wild raspberries
(possibly a wild rose too)
wild grape vines
virginia creeper (why anyone would want this i don't know, but i have it)
ground covering evergreens (3 species)
old fashion lilacs
oak and maple seedlings (these are coming out my ears i have so many)
evening primrose
spirea:garland
wild strawberries
potentilla:yellow, unknown cultivar (but the leaves look similar to marijuana)
canada mayflower
hosta:undulata
hosta:royal standard

i will add more to this thread/post when i find it. also feel free to check my trade list, most of my finished beds are ready to be split or in a state where it would be safe to take cuttings.

keep in mind i will be updating my list 'cause i grew a ton of stuff inside this winter and just put it out. i have new things to add and a few to remove, feel free to mail me if you have a question on anything

Orangeburg, SC

Hi, I'm interested in your pink perennial phlox, hardy geranium and royal standard hosta. What would you like in trade?

springfield area, MO(Zone 5b)

many of the items on your trade list say not available.
Is it up to date? or is that old?

(Zone 7a)

New or not available. When they are not available I hit "Disable" You will see this when you click on "My Tools" which is a Tab at the top of this page. Then you will see a link "Your Trade List" and then you will see next to your items (edit, disable, delete, etc.) To disable it will not allow other people t see it. Then when it's available just enable it.

Hope this helps...

Turner, OR

I would lovethe hostas!!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I have most of that stuff already but would appreciate the garden phlox. Actually now that I think of it my creeping phlox is BLUE so maybe a smidge of that too. Bit what could I trade back?

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

how much lily of the valley do you have?

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

if you have extra, I'd like some Lily of the Valley as well. any left over Hosta and Old fashioned Lilac

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

If they are any of these left I would like to have some

perennial garden phlox
pink hardy geranium:fuschia
lily of the valley

I have some Noid irises if interested ?

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Eglantyne, I will trade you fuchsia geranium for NOID iris, if you like!

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

cue chik, have you tried to grow Lily of the Valley in your zone before? I don't know if it will. I had some already growing when I moved here and my husband pulled them all out thinking they were weeds. I was so mad at him. I hear they are hard to grow in my zone too and I wouldn't even attempt it except that I had some growing in the back yard, in deep shades.

cue _chik,
I think lilacs are not going to do good in Florida either.

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

well...lol,ok. The Lilac I understand.. but Ive seen Lily of the Valley in the local garden centers here.. and was going to plant it under a heavy shaded area.. but I shall acquiesce and take the expert advise on both plants. Thanks for heads up Lilimerci and Eglantyne :)

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

well, you never know. Why don't you post a question on the Florida forum to see if any of your neighbor have tried to grow them.

Omega, GA(Zone 8b)

Kim_M....great tip on the tradelist "disabling"...

jleigh....ooohhhh me me me :) would like to try any evergreen groundcovers...let me know how you want to proceed.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Jleigh, I've just finished comparing your "lists" to mine .... care to swap some heucheras while we're at it? And I just got an OFFICE, I'm sure I need some devil's ivy (is that what you're calling it?) to liven it up. Is the Johnson's Blue ready for prime time? My Rozanne is SO SLOW!

Ballston Lake, NY(Zone 5a)

i will mail you all :) thanks for the interest

Ballston Lake, NY(Zone 5a)

also, lists have been updated. :) (the things listed as unavailable but not disabled are that way for people in my garden group who have asked for them- just to give clear idea of when they will be ready)
