I have several rhizomes for trade. This is an uncommon ginger & when you find it, it's usually pretty pricey! Very distinctive crinkled leaves. This is not hardy below zone 9b. It will need protection. Here in St. Pete, I can grow it in the ground and it didn't even go dormant this past winter.
What I will consider for trade:
Blue/purple tropical daylilies
hybrid orchids, crotons, broms, palms, anthuriums, hedychiums, dwarf bananas, cordyline hybrids, pride of barbados
Have something else not listed? An uncommon tropical or edible hardy for zone 10a? Drop me a Dmail.

Rare Ginger for Trade - Alpinia Rugosa
Hi Brenda! I talked to Tom Wood, who was responsible for bringing this ginger into the US, about it a couple years ago and he said that it will survive here in zone 8B but will go dormant in the winter. He lives not far from me in the Alachua area. So it may be a bit hardier than you think. Worth a try anyhow, LOL
Hi, I would love to get some of your ginger! I have giant bird of paradise, pride of barbadoes and a ton of edible fruit seeds that will grow in your area! Please look over my list or let me know if your interested in what I have!
