Well, thanks for all the help everyone. Apparently this forum is primarily for people deeply involved in the brugmansia world to chat and gush about pics of amazing plants. I suppose all forums are, though.

I did not see your original post--did it disappear?
I'm not sure what in the first post didn't address your concern... Take off the offensive leaf.. / leaves.. quarantine it if you've some real thought .. or un abiding fear... it's not like you'll catch it yourself... no herbicides [ that you know of.. ]... has anyone been out near it with a cocktail..perhaps a Mojito.. or screwdriver... an inadvertent splash or any number of natural occurrences could be the reason it developed...
Fertilizers... or lack there of... an insect spray of additive sprayed in the sun.. even a splash of plain water left in the hot sun will cause discoloration..
it's truly impossible for anyone to imagine the entire list of occupancies that might cause it.. or for you to know definitively if one of these happened or not.. we're going the best we can on this side..
for your part... a full view of the plant is also helpful... it might be a sport.. you could be looking at the new hot brug of 2012.. yellow/green leafed mistress..
my bets on nutrition.. or perhaps a bunch of invading fungus out of Brookline..
Relax give it a meal of cow manure.. or have you... I'm not sure what the physical look of mad cow disease is.. without a lab report... no one can give you a viral clean slate.. take a leaf to your county extension service.. or pay for the lab work... likely not covered by your medical coverage.. even for your baby...
