This one is an Alpinia blooming that was in my old greenhouse. Does anybody know the name to this one? I have few gingers that was planted in the ground over 10 years ago before I got hooked into them big time..LOL...

Found it finally after going thru a database of Alpinias.....called Aplinia nutans 'Narrowleaf' common called Cardamon. It has been in the ground for about 10 years now and finally bloomed inside my greenhouse..supposely rarely to bloom.

Very nice bloom!

Alpinia nutans gets applied to many things as does cardamom. Your alpinia looks like A calcarata. If the leaves and stems are very narrow then this is a likely bet. Look up images of Alpinia calcarata to compare.
