Any treatments for White Flies?

Alum Bridge, WV

My wife's tomato plants go out in the yard during the day to harden off and come in at night. They bring with them White Flies which have migrated to my Gessies. Any treatment that you have firsthand experience with and can recommend?

Morning! The dreaded critters!

I have used dish soap and water in a spray bottle and it worked. But you need to do it more than once because the WF might have already laid eggs and you will have to break that cycle.Jan

I know you can use the Safer insecticidal soap and neem oil on violets and gesneriads. Also one of the older violet ladies told me about the Raid House and Garden in the green spray can - to spray above the plants and let it drift down. I've used that a time or two for the gnats. It didn't hurt the plants either. Open blooms might get discolored with any of these.

Jan...Took your advice and spritzed with dish soap in solution. Situation much improved at first application. Now after two more, I'm looking good, and my wife's tomato plants are outdoors so the chances for reinfestation are reduced. I will, however, continue spritzing for another week or so. Thank you for your help; I am most grateful...
