They used to have ID's. One of the workmen who is installing a new furnace/AC carefully pulled the markers out of about half a dozen episcias and handed them to me..."These plastic thingies were stickin' out of your plants".

Whether I'm mad or laughing, the name tags are still pulled out. One of them is in a terrarium, so I am sure about it. The other ones, I'm *fairly* sure, but it's hard to tell Faded Jade from My Precious if they're not in bloom.
He's kind of a kid, and he was fascinated by the plants, and he was really careful not to bash my light stands when they were schlepping the furnace and duct pipes around, I think he was trying to help. I showed him how the plastic thingies identify the plants, and he felt bad. I was angry when an electrician left the door open a couple of years ago and froze some plants.
