The iris's are starting. Lots of buds this year. Here is one of the first blooms.

What kind of iris are those? Do they grow near the edge of the pond.. I wonder if I could grow them in dirt in pots on the edge of my pond.
I have them in ground near the pond edge. I have Lousiana & siberian varieties. I do have a few also in pots,but the inground ones seem to do better.

Louisiana Iris do very well in hot climates and shallow water. I have some growing in vases of water on my deck. No soil, no fertilizer, just a few tadpoles.
I have some siberian iris, can I put them in pots IN the pond? IN the water?
