NOTE: NO plants for postage.
2nd NOTE: I do not trade rooted plants for seeds or cuttings. All of my plants are well rooted, and I expect the same in return.
3rd NOTE: I mail plants in a box by Priority Mail and expect the same.
I'm looking to do a few large trades for something on my wish list. I do NOT trade rooted plants for cuttings or seeds. I don't have time to baby anything, so I need well rooted plants. Cuttings you rooted last fall would be fine, but seedlings that just sprouted recently wouldn't survive my neglect.
What I currently have to trade are the following:
DAYLILIES (each trade will be at least a double fan.):
You can see pictures of the daylilies in my photo album at:
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v626/thebutterflyranch/Plant%20Auctions/Daylilies%20for%20sale/
Pirate Lord
Catherine Woodbery
Custard Candy (triple fan)
Dacquiri
Frans Hals (triple fan)
Sight Delight
Red Ribbons
Happy Returns
Grape Adventure
In the Dark
Little Wart
Rocket City
Sea of Stars
Siloam Nugget
Custard Candy
Butterfly Kisses
Happy Returns
Little Business
Pink Ballerina
Duke of Durham
Chorus Line
Foxwood's Little Pumpkin (2 tiny fans - it's a small plant anyway, but it was covered with lumber)
Glory in Ruffles
Mariachi (1 large fan, 1 small fan)
Hudson Valley - 1 large fan
UR11 - an unnamed pink
UR20 - an unnamed peachy pink
UR21 - an unnamed red - looks like a Munson daylily
LOUISIANA IRISES:
You can see my LA irises at:
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v626/thebutterflyranch/Plant%20Auctions/Louisiana%20Irises/
Bajazzo
Black Gamecock
Dorothea K. Williamson
Iris Hexagona
Little Rock Skies
NOID fuscia (like Dorothea K Williamson but more fuscia than purple)
Japanese roof irises - 2 fans (thought I had more but that's all I can find)
MINTS & HERBS:
Silver Mint
Spice Mint
Ginger Mint
Spearmint
Limelight Artemisia
OTHER PLANTS I HAVE:
tiny perilla seedlings - purple foliage (if you want some in your box, just ask--I have millions--no trade required if we're trading other plants)
tiny datura (moonflower bush) seedlings (again, I have a bunch, can add some to your box, no trade required)
Passiflora Incarnata vines (passion flower) - these shock badly and the foliage will die off. In about 6 weeks all new foliage will sprout where old leaves were and it grows fast. You'll see blooms by the end of summer
Pink Soapwort
Purple Obedient Plant (will have to trim to fit in box, so you may not see blooms this year)
Heirloom bearded Irises - pale yellow
Heirloom bearded irises - very dark purple
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I WANT:
Any plants for a wedding/love themed garden--daylilies or irises with a love-themed name, whites, pinks, etc.
Any plants that LOOK tropical but are hardy
Named Louisiana Irises
Named Daylilies - new varieties
Hardy unusual hibiscus like Turn of the Century, Confederate Rose Hib, White Texas Star Hib
Hardy palmettos
Hardy Brugmansias (Angel Trumpets)
Beauty Berry bush
Chaste Tree
Hardy Gingers (already have white butterfly ginger)
Unusual Honeysuckle vines (no yellow)
Clematis vines (already have Sweet Autumn and a large single purple)
Unusual cannas, particularly with peach or pink blooms
Ornamental Grasses (have quite a few, looking for some I don't have)
Purple Majesty Millet, Black Leaf Millet
Black Lace Elderberry
Aucuba shrubs
Amorphallus
Bottlebrush tree
Japanese maples with unusual foliage
Black Magic or Illustris Elephant Ears or other EEs hardy in zone 7
Big Metal Sun Sculptures, mosaics, your own interesting artwork, birdhouses, etc. (please show me pictures and give measurements)
While I'm not interested in any tropicals, only plants that will survive in zone 7, I AM interested in any plants that "look" tropical (cannas, ginger, elephant ears, etc). The palms above will survive here with a little protection, and I have nice little microclimate that I think they'll love.
I am open to other interesting perennials, trees, and shrubs. So tempt me.
If interested in trading, let me know. I prefer to do larger trades to get the most of my postage costs. I won't trade for just one or two plants.
I've been stiffed a few times recently by people with no feedback. For this reason, if you have no feedback, I'll wait to receive your shipment before I send mine. You can read my feedback and see that I deliver.
CLOSED: HAVE: Named Daylilies, Louisiana Irises, Mints
Would you be willing to trade your louisiana iris and some datura for a big red peony?
Thanks,
Marie
Hi Marie, I'm really not looking for peonies at this time. Thanks for the offer though.
not a problem! If I have anything else that you want please let me know!
Marei
Butterfly Chaser - That is a gorgeous picture. I love that rich shade of purple. What is it?
I have a 'Montrose Purple' Chaste tree. If you might be interested, we could set up a trade for next spring. I've already traded all my rooted cuttings that were started last year.
Dawn
Hi Dawn, it's the Black Gamecock louisiana iris. It starts out looking almost black and fades to purple throughout the day. And it stays short, unlike some of the LAs. It's only about 15 inches tall in my garden. Really nice!
Cool.
Hi: I am interested in the
La Iris
Black gamecock
Little Rock Skies
Bajazoo
I have some second year Japanese maples with the mom being Bloodgood. I have a lot of Hosta's Most of which are listed in Market place. I also have
Ribbon Grass
Pennisetum grass
Sweet Flag grass Acorus gramineus
Pampas Plugs from last winter - I know you said no new seedlings but the pampas is tough.
Butterfly Ginger Peach. I am not sure how tender it is but I am pretty sure its not hardy in my zone 6b.
I have a lot of things and I am sure we can find some things you would like. here is a pic of my 2 part harmony thats in its 3rd year (2nd in the ground).
Please send me a dmail and let me know what you think and which direction I should look.
