This bird flew inside my DH's car as he was diving home this afternoon.
CLOSED: Hitchhiker
Could it be an immature Starling.?
OOOOhhh I bet that is it!! I don't know why but they always throw me..Thanks pelle!
Yep, juv Starling. It'll be very newly fledged, they usually fledge around 20 May. So consistent that you can almost set your calendar by them.

I'm just starting to see them and the Grackle fledges today.
How likely is it that it will survive with no parent available I wonder?
How far was it carried from flying into the car, to release?
If only a short distance, it'll soon re-find its parents. If a long way, then it won't.
Resin
say 10 miles or so...
Not good, I fear.
Don't know if it would get 'adopted' by other Starlings at its release point, but probably not.
Resin
Thanks for the info Resin...
